From our AGM of the 14th of January 2024 we have had quite a few updates and new committee members as well as a few of people leave. But we will start from the top and work our way through.
Review of 2023 and updates for 2024
- We have had some coaches step away from the club and we wish you all the best and if you would like to return our doors are open.
- We have also had some committee members step down to take focus on other roles at the club and to lessen work load. We thank you for your service and we can’t wait to see what you come up with.
- At the end of 2023 our Chairman stepped down (Read more here). Thank you for your service to the club and we look forward to your role as head of development in the academy.
- We recruited a new head coach ahead of the season welcome Adam Wilkin (Read about the signing).
- Over the 2023 season we have had 35.6k users reached on socials, 4.6k people interacting with our content and our fan base grew by 25%. Thank you to all involved with the social media.
- We had a brilliant end of year celebration at Blackwell Grange Hotel with everyone dressing to the 10s, thank you to our events team and we hope to have a lots more events in the future.
- Our adult team had a successful season with the first dive into division one football but missed one game due to no fault of ours (Find out more here).
- The youth team had some brilliant sessions and while unfortunately not having the numbers to be apart of the league they have grown in size and come along leaps and bounds.
- We partnered with Darlington Borough Council to run some holiday sessions for flag football that has had over 600 kids take part in sessions throughout the year and has been an outstanding success.
- Due to the above success of the holiday clubs we quickly formed a cadet team that takes place on the Saturday and allows kids from 8+ to take part in American Football.
- We have voted in a new chairman (Statement to come).
- We have voted in a range of new committee members to take over roles and help us throughout this season. (See below).
