The 2024 Darlington Steam season is taking part in Division 2 in the NFC 2 East Conference. This will be played against teams like: Gateshead Senators, Lincolnshire Bombers, Doncaster Mustangs and Wakefield District Raiders. We have played against a few of these teams back in 2022 and look for a great season!

In the 2023 Darlington Steam adult contact team took part in Division 1 in the NFC Central Conference. We will be playing against teams like Northumberland Vikings, Yorkshire Rams, Lancashire Wolverines, Halton Spartans and the Scunthorpe Alphas who knocked us out of play-offs last season in a very intensive game. The season was quite rough and took a massive effort by everyone involved to get our first win in division 1. Unfortunately we had a bitter end due to having to forfeit the last game (Read more here). This forfeit led to a automatic demotion to division 2.

The Adult Contact team is for anyone aged 18+ and we train at St Aidan’s Academy between 13:00 – 16:00 each Sunday. So if you are wanting to come on down and try out, feel free to drop us a message and come on down. Your first 3 Sessions are free, which afterwards you will have to register with BAFA (The governing body for American Football in the UK). Our membership costs are £25 per month and this will cover the costs of using the equipment that we have.
